Terms & Conditions

The contract between the pupil and instructor is subject to the following terms and conditions:

1.        The pupil certifies that a valid suitable licence is held to drive the tuition vehicle. Pupils must inform their instructor immediately if they receive any endorsements on their licence

2.        The instructor will do everything possible to ensure that your lessons start and finish on time, but reserves the right to cancel postpone or change lesson lengths and start/finish times under certain circumstances (e.g. dangerous weather conditions). In the event of postponement fees paid in advance will be carried forward.

3.        While your instructor will make every effort to ensure that the vehicle supplied for test will be fully road worthy and comply with all legal requirements at the start of the test he/she cannot be held responsible for vehicle failure that occurs during the test and is not liable for consequential loss.

4.        Cancellations require at least 24 hours notice failure to give notice may result in the full tuition fee being charged.

5.        The instructor reserves the right to refuse the use of the driving school vehicle for test if he/she considers their provision of a vehicle could cause a risk to public safety.

6.        Any outstanding accounts must be settled prior to the practical test.

7.        In the case of a refund there will be a administration charge of £20.00 to process the refund (The “Refund Charge”).

8.        The instructor may refuse to proceed with a lesson if he/she has reason to believe that the pupil is in any way under the influence of drink or drugs.

9.        The instructor will accept no responsibility for accidents, injury or damage to any third party caused by the pupils’ recklessness or negligence during a lesson.

10.      If the instructor is unable to continue tuition if available a suitable alternative will be offered; in this event a refund will not be given.

11. Prepaid lessons must be started within 6 months of purchase date and completed with 12 months of purchase date.

12. Cancellation of an intensive courses are subject to the Intensive Course terms and conditions available on our Intensive Course page.

To qualify for the free lesson the referee must take a minimum of five hours of lessons over an eight week period.

Slips need to be signed at the end of each lesson by the pupil and instructor confirming the lessons have been taken. The company's decision is final. All other T's an C's apply.

Practical test may only be redeemed after a minimum of 20 continuous hours of driving tuition with a Safedrive approved instructor.
